Ag Days at the University of Idaho Sept. 26 and 27 will celebrate Idaho agriculture and bring hundreds of high school students to the Moscow campus to explore career opportunities in many fields. They will join alumni of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and leaders of major agricultural industry companies on campus for Celebrating Idaho Agriculture. The slate of events is geared to renewing friendships and recognizing the importance of education and research in Idaho's biggest industry. Workshops sponsored by the college will help high school students sample food science, try 3D printing, clone plants and learn money skills. In all, nearly two dozen workshops give high school students a chance to attend 45-minute classes on a wide range of career topics. Workshops will also trace the development of an international animal-testing business that started on the UI campus and hear top agricultural industry leaders' thoughts on agricultural technology and the future.

A Friday, Sept. 26, panel discussion, "Feeding 9 Billion People: Technology's Impact," will feature agricultural industry leaders.  The discussion is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Student Union Building Vandal Ballroom from 4-5:30 p.m. High school students traveling to Moscow will also have fun competing in 4-H and FFA livestock judging events, enjoying a weekend at college, cheering on the Idaho Vandals and testing their navigation skills at the Clearwater Corn Maze.
