With the Fruit Grower Report, I'm Susan Allen. Rebecca Gebbers a Mutual of Mutual of Enumclaw independent insurance agent for VIP Insurance in Brewster Washington shares how her community is rebuilding after the devastating wildfire.

GEBBERS: This past weekend was the two year anniversary of the Carlton Complex wildfire coming through our area. I couldn't help but look back at some of the photos that day. The memories are still there and it's still very raw for a lot of people in the area that lost everything. It's really encouraging though to see Pateros and Brewster and areas that had severe fire damage being rebuilt. There are many new homes that have been built and people enjoying new properties, new dwellings. I still see certain people that have struggled if you don't have insurance that's a tough road you don't get a home immediately. So I still see some people that are able to take advantage of some of the non-profit and volunteer services that have been coming in and rebuilding homes for the people that didn't have insurance. It's on going but I'd say I sees a great deal of healing and it's very encouraging for the community.

Thankfully this year's wildfire season hasn't materialized like some feared, but as we enter August, Rebecca is a great reminder to make sure that our home owner and farm policies are current.
