Hot Topics. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

Washington Farm Labor Association has shifted their training to webinars and has some hot topic training you won't want to miss. WAFLA's Dan Fazio explains.

FAZIO: We're doing a three-part hot topics human resource series. That series kicks of on July 15th with a presentation we call "Up In Smoke" about the new marijuana laws and it's kind of a fun presentation for people.

That webinar will be followed a week later, July 22nd to discuss another very important subject for producers.

FAZIO: Attorneys from the EEOC are going to cover pregnancy disability under the American's with Disabilities Act. Believe it or not, Greg, pregnancy is a disability or should be handled as a disability if you're an employer and it's a tough one for agricultural employers when people are pregnant and want to pick apples or peaches or cherries or pears.

And finally:

FAZIO: We'll wrap up that session on Tuesday, July 29th talking about those annoying forms employers get all the time. They're called verification of employment forms and it seems they come everyday for employers by phone, fax, email or in person for employees who want to buy a car or get furniture and they come from government agencies, car dealers, mortgage lenders and anyone else. You can register for these webinars online at www.wafla.org
