AARP is warning rural Americans and farmers to make sure folks take steps to protect their families and their farms from fraud.

Sean Voskuhl with the AARP points out, fraud affects everyone, including the farming community.

And Voskuhl offers these tips to help protect your farm from fraud or scams.

There are other types of fraud going on involving farmers.... Organic farming advocates, including the Organic Trade Association (OTA), organic grain distributors and university extension programs, are taking steps to reduce organic fraud, including new traceability methods.
