America's Farmers Grow Communities Helps Make a Difference

America's Farmers Grow Communities is back partnering with farmers to support the causes that mean the most to farm families. The program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, allows farmers the chance to give back to their communities. America's Farmers Community Outreach Manager Angela Allen says eligible farmers can enter to win a $2,500 donation direct to a rural nonprofit organization of their choice now through November 30th.

Allen: "The Monsanto Fund sponsors the program which will award more than $3 million in 2017. And help farmers to support causes that create positive impacts in their communities. Recently donations have been used to fight rural hunger, purchase lifesaving EMS and firefighting equipment, support ag youth programs and many other important initiatives."

She says the Grow Communities program helps rural communities...tape

Allen: "So across the country, we see farmers supporting a lot of great organizations in their communities such as their elementary schools and fire departments. Many, many organizations are taking advantages of these funds to help their farmers and help their community members more safe."

Allen says enrollment in the program is simple.

Allen: "It is very simple. Farmers can go online to www.growcommunities.com or can call toll-free 877-267-3332 to enroll now through November 30th."
