Alliance for Potato Research and Education's Website

The Alliance for Potato Research and Education — or APRE — website has plenty of research and interesting information for the potato industry to share with their customers and even in conversations with their families and friends. APRE’s President and CEO Dr. Maureen Storey shares several highlights from the website.
Storey: “There is a lot of good information on the APRE website that is very accessible to the producers. For example, something that the Registered Dietitians really like is the Potassium chart that compares the amount potassium in various potato products with other vegetables and bananas. What it shows is french fries and potatoes in all forms are a form of potassium much better than many of the other vegetables that are highly promoted for people to consume. I think that that as well as the dietary fiber chart that does the comparison of potatoes with other fruits and vegetables.”
