Lance Pekus known as the Cowboy Ninja on the popular reality TV Show American Ninja Warriors will be at the 2019 Colfax Marathon Denver Health and Fitness Expo this weekend (May 17-18) at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

His appearance is sponsored by the Colorado Beef Council and the state's cattle ranchers and farmers through the Beef Checkoff.

The Beef Council's Director of Marketing, Tami Arnold says fans of the show know the cowboy moniker is for real and that's what got the attention of the National Beef Council.

"He is a rancher from Idaho and I believe Idaho Beef Council got a hold of him first when he started running on American Ninja Warrior."

Arnold says there are several Team Beef runners participating in the marathon. This is the first year that Colorado Beef Council will have a role in the event.
