For the third year, 4H and Colorado State will celebrate Ag Day at the University together on September 22nd.

Ag Day is an annual event hosted by Colorado State University's College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Athletics, and Colorado agricultural organizations and associations..

Most people involved with 4-H know the groups vision statement is "A world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change."

Sam Lowry, Colorado 4-H Animal Sciences Specialist in Fort Collins and says it's events like Ag Day that help young people reach their full potential.

"Nobody exemplifies the positive youth development goals and mission of the 4-H program better than our 4-H youth. And they will be on site helping with various activities. We will have a 4-H STEM trailer. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. We'll have some hands on activities that really get folks integrated into the elements of STEM that we promote so much in all of our 4-H project areas."

And again this year a raffle will be give away a Ford F-15o pickup truck with proceeds going to the 4-H Foundation.

All othe Ag Day proceeds provide scholarships to Colorado State University agricultural science students.
