Colorado Livestock Association holds its annual meeting this week.

President Bill Hammerich says the agenda is varied with discussions on animal identification and traceability, feeding hemp to livestock, an update the Veterinary Feed Directive, the use of performance enhancing technologies and their effect on trade.

There will also be experts speaking about financial risk management, the impact of tax reform on farmers and ranchers in Colorado and the

outlook for the beef industry for the remainder of 2018.

Seems like a lot to get to in just 2 days.

"Rather than a 45 minute or 60 minute presentation lecture if you will, everybody's got 30 minutes. Get right to it, give us the nuts and bolts of it. And then what we're hoping is, we'll be able to distill out of those seven presentations, where's your interest, where do we need to go in anyone or all of these topics that you've heard here today. What would you like to know more about?"

The Annual Meeting is April 4 and 5th in Loveland.

The Keynote speaker is Alicia Rainwater from The Center for Generational Kinetics.
