Governor's Forum on Ag and FFA Foundation's Hall of Fame Inductees

On Wednesday, many of those involved in Colorado's ag industry were present at the 26th annual Governor's Forum on Agriculture. Colorado Farm Bureau Vice President of Advocacy Shawn Martini shares details about the forum

Martini: "the forum went really well. It was nice to hear a lot of different perspectives on things that ranged from an economic outlook for agriculture; towards what Colorado needs to do to maintain its leadership in ag innovation and technology; to even things we can do on a more social level to help reduce food waste in our communities — both in our rural communities and in urban areas along the I-25 corridor. It was a great and diverse variety of speakers. And of course the FFA Foundation did a wonderful job of putting on another successful Farm Credit Hall of Fame."

Since we are celebrating FFA Week — Martini provides additional details about the evening' FFA Honorees' ceremony

Martini: "There was for the dinner for the Hall of Farm specifically there was over 450 people. It was one of the bigger ones that the Hall of Fame has hosted over the past few years. We had a great line-up of folks that were inducted into the Hall of Fame. A lot of folks that are extremely respected here in the ag community here in Colorado. It is nice to get together with peers — folks in the community — to vett those leaders and induct them into the Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the FFA Hall of Fame on Wednesday were Charlie Bartlett, Bill Markham, Dale McCall and Bill Webster.
