Colorado Cattlemen's Association Mid-Winter Conference

In 2017 the Colorado Cattlemen's Association will be celebrating its 150th anniversary and the Colorado CattleWomen have a 75th anniversary as well. On January 16th through the 18th, both Cattlemen and Women will have their Mid-Winter Conference in Denver at the Renaissance Hotel.

CCA Marketing and Communications Director Sarah Smith says that the first day of activities will be CCA Board of Directors meeting on Monday. She continues with the following two days activities.

Smith: "Tuesday is our Legislative Day. We will start out with CCA Steering Committee meetings. Then in the afternoon, attendees will take buses over to the Capitol and arrive at the Masonic Lodge for a legislative lunch. Then they will go into an issues briefing in the Old Supreme Court. We will have our President's Reception at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening and then we will have our Foundation banquet and will celebrate the Colorado CattleWomen's 75th birthday there. Then Wednesday morning we will finish up with a few more committee meetings and then we will have CCA's business session. And then we will shuttle over to the National Western Stockshow for the commercial female sale and then it is Cattlemen's Appreciation Night at the National Western and they will have a rodeo. So there is a lot going on — there will be a lot of information but also a lot of fun."

There are sponsorship and trade show opportunities still available. Smith said that registration information was mailed out in the most CCA quarterly publication The Cattle Guard or you can go online to coloradocattle.org to learn more.
