Colorado Corn Accepting Internship Applications

Colorado Corn Accepting Internship Applications

There is an exciting internship opportunity with Colorado Corn. Communications Director Eric Brown shares more details

Brown: "It's open to any junior or senior year college student. They don't necessarily have to be a farm kid — just be interest in public policy that has an impact on agriculture. It's a pretty flexible internship. It is the amount of hours that the student can work out to be down in Denver though the January through May Colorado legislature session. How may hours the intern can devote to it and how the schedule works with our Colorado Corn lobbyist. Just a great opportunity for someone who is interested in agricultural policy — not only to see up close how bills come together and how policy is construct that does have an impact on ag and farmers and water issues here in Colorado. Just a great opportunity to make connections in Denver at the Capitol. So we certainly encourage any students who are interested to learn more about it. There is more information at our website at coloradocorn.com. The application deadline is November 22nd so just under a month to get an application together."

In addition to working with the Colorado Corn lobbyist, the intern will have opportunities to represent the corn growers as assigned in meets and have staff reporting responsibilities and will interact with Colorado Corn leadership as well.
