CDA Seminar Helps Colorado Companies Develop Export Markets

On September 1st the Colorado Department of Agriculture is hosting an Export Seminar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m at their office in Broomfield. The purpose of the seminar is to help companies new to exporting or companies looking to increase exports. Colorado Department of Agriculture International Marketing Specialist John Addison says this seminar will help companies connect with organizations that can help facilitate exporting

Addison: "We're tried to put a program together which will be all exclusive. Which if they are looking for finance, there is finance available. If their looking for shipping, there is shipping available. If you think exporting is really complex and you're just exploring it, we want to put it in context for them. It's not as hard as many companies think it is. We want to get them informed and let them know what programs are available."

Currently there are many Colorado companies that export their products as Addison explains

Addison: "We're exporting right now to about 115 countries around the world. Our exports in 2014 just topped over $2 billion. This year we've had a slight down tick due to exchange rates we're on target for about $1.7 billion this year."

This seminar is free to attendees and includes lunch. If your company is interested in learning more about exporting, contact the the Colorado Department of Ag to sign up for the event.
