Voices Across the Plains -- Week of May 14

This update brought to you by Syngenta. You can expect more than just a product solution from Syngenta. We provide the products, knowledge and service needed to help ensure top yields and maximum profit potential.

This growing season we will be visiting with Northwest wheat grower Mike Miller for crop updates.

Miller: Well, we are done with spraying our winter wheat--both dryland and irrigated. As is about 95 percent of those acres in this 9 to 10 inch rainfall area. I would guess that the numbers are probably around 70 percent of the acres went on with TILT this year due to the rust problems of last year. We’ve been using TILT --this will be our seventh year that it is part of our chemical process and we’ve seen an increase of yields from just that. Not just the rust, but it helps heal up the plant with a lot of other things that are going on with it.”

Syngenta offers cereal growers a diverse portfolio of seeds, seed treatment and crop protection product solutions to address local pest challenges and help ensure top yield and quality. Visit VoicesAcrossThePlains.com for information.
