It was a bad Oscar night for the food fear mongers wasn’t it? Food Inc flopped and the world’s most famous eco-mom, who almost single handedly took down the Northwest apple industry failed to garner herself an Oscar for playing a chef who was furious at the actress’s role in the alar scare. I’m Susan Allen, back with OpenRange. Reflecting on the great actress Meryl Streep It’s sad the box office not any PhDs or doctorates have afforded her a platform to peddle her paranoia regarding production agriculture. What an irony she played Julia Child America’s beloved chef who advocated that food is to be enjoyed not feared. According to sources close to Julia she despised activists like Meryl who terrified people about food safety and was furious at Streep for telling American’s their apples were contaminated. Unlike NW apple farmers Meryl came out unscathed from perpetrating her mistruths, while there was never a risk posed to human health by the regulated use of alar there is still a big risk to farmers and ranchers Meryl will strike again. Whose next? My guess meat and milk producers? Merly was fully aware of the irony of playing Julia Child and in the past years denounced the chef calling Julia “ a pawn of big buinsess”. In the case of the actress whose made millions playing someone who distained activists. Who’s calling the kettle black.
