United Wind Providing Green Energy Options to Oregon Farmers

Attention Oregon farmers, ranchers and land owners -- United Wind is bringing opportunity to many rural areas of Oregon for personal use wind turbines.

United Wind President Tal Mamo shares that his company’s mission is to make wind energy more accessible to the public through consumer-sized wind turbines available for 20-year leases. He shares the benefits for participating Oregon land owners.

Mamo: By allowing us to come in and install a turbine on somebody’s property, we’re able to create green, clean energy and sell it to the customer for less than what they are paying the utility now. So essentially we can offer them a savings from day one on their energy bill for little to no up-front costs and save them money not only from day one but also for the next twenty years -- which is the term of the lease. So we are able to lock in their energy rates, stop the escalation and save them money right off the bat.”

Not all rural Oregon residents will be candidates for this program, Mamo explains what interested property owners need to be eligible

Mamo: “We need a minimum of two acres -- which usually isn’t an issue for farmers. Wind is very site-specific. The very best thing to do is to contact us through  our website www.UnitedWind.com or call us at 877-448-2526. On our website we have a widget that anyone can use. They put in their address and it will tell them if they have a good wind site or not.”
